How do I troubleshoot the Rover app?

If the Rover app stops working, try these troubleshooting tips to get back on track:

 

Update the app

Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app by heading over to your device’s app store and checking for updates. Here’s how to do this on an iPhone or Android phone:

iPhone

  1. Open the App Store
  2. Tap "Today" at the bottom of the screen
  3. Tap your profile icon at the top right of the screen
  4. Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes
  5. Tap "Update" next to the Rover app"

Android

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Search “Rover.
  3. If an update is available, you’ll see the option to tap Update.

 

Power your phone off and on

It may sound simple, but sometimes just powering your phone off and back on is all that’s needed to get any app back in order.

 

 

Uninstall and reinstall the app

If the issue continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Rover app. Here’s how to do this on an iPhone or Android phone:

iPhone

  1. Tap and hold the Rover app icon until it starts wiggling.
  2. Tap the x.
  3. Tap Delete to uninstall.
  4. To reinstall, open the App Store.
  5. Search “Rover.”
  6. Tap Get to reinstall.

Android

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Search “Rover.
  3. Tap uninstall.
  4. Tap install to reinstall.

If you’re still hitting a roadblock with the app, please contact Rover Support with the following information so we can troubleshoot further:

  1. Are you using an iPhone or Android phone?
  2. What version of the Rover app do you have?
  • On iPhone, open app then tap More > Settings >Version.
  • On Android phone, open app then tap Menu > Settings > Version.
  • What is the issue?
  • How did you encounter the issue?
